About Daren KingDaren King was born in 1972 in Harlow, Essex. He was educated at Bath Spa University College, Bath, where he graduated in Creative Studies. Boxy an Star, his first novel, was shortlisted for the 1999 Guardian First Book Award and longlisted for the Booker Prize. He is also the author of the critically-acclaimed novel, Jim Giraffe.
