Fresh off the success of his last renegade recruitment, NSA Agent Augustus Gibbons (Samuel L Jackson), once again finds himself in need of an outsider.

A dangerous military splinter group is conspiring to overthrow the US Government, and the only man Gibbons can trust to save the nation's capital is a convict.

Darius Stone (Ice Cube) - a pro sniper and expert in demolition and urban recon - is the new xXx, and his task is to track down the mastermind and avert an international crisis.

But as xXx gets closer to his target, he discovers that the greatest threat to the nation comes from within. Secretary of Defense George Deckert (Willem Dafoe) is power hungry and prepared to assassinate the President of the United States... and pin the murder on the NSA.
