About Ben Fagan
Ben Fagan is a spoken word poet from New Zealand, currently based in London.
He attended his first spoken word event in 2012.
Ben's poetry project was in 2014 at the Wellington Fringe Festival, with his circus and poetry show Between the Lines. This was followed by his first solo show Under the Table, which toured first in NZ, then marked his Edinburgh Fringe Festival debut in 2015.
In 2016 Ben teamed up with UK Poetry Slam Champion Sara Hirsch to co-write and perform their show Made to Measure at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Ben has self-published two chapbooks of poetry, toured across the UK, USA and NZ, and performed at multiple TEDx events.
He is a producer and organiser for New Zealand Poetry Slam and Poetry in Motion Wellington, a Trustee for the National Youth Drama School NZ, and Digital Media Producer for Apples and Snakes.
Ben and Sara won the Edinburgh Fringe Festival Anti Slam in 2016, then came second in the National Anti-Slam in 2017.
