2014 was no doubt unusual year for New Zealand Maori writer K.M. Harris. Deciding to write on eight subjects who had secret lives, associations, or employment in Sydney's sex industry by putting herself in the similar perilous situations as the subjects themselves was her way of telling their stories with authenticity about a frequently judged community. Join her on a roller-coaster journey featuring snippets of songs related to each story where never a dull moment is ensured on her prosopography-fused book album, 'Eight Women: Pure Platinum People.' 'One woman helping another woman is a phenomenal deed of love and encouragement. When we unite together, we empower each other and inspire many others. Each of has an an incredible story to tell and my hope is to write as many stories about as many beautiful women as I can. 'Tuhia te korero...Write the stories.' K.M. Harris

Real experiences from real people is the kind of writing K.M Harris enjoys producing and 'reality reads' is what she calls it. Writing to cater to an open minded audience by capatilising on stories from her own cultural history and short career in the New Zealand Army, is how K.M Harris has been able to kick-start her writing journey towards becoming a published author. K.M Harris loves being involved in Maori cultural activities with her family and friends, and enjoys keeping fit and healthy through meditative running, Bikram Yoga, swimming and listening to music. www.maoriwriter.com
